The “coffa” is a traditional Sicilian purse made out of hay, decorated with “sonagli” and colored Pom Pom’s , typically worn on the about of the donkey of the typical Sicilian “carretti” carts.

The Santaninfa coffe are a little different compared to the traditional ones because they wouldn’t be considered coffe without the colorful Pom Pom’s, which are all made by hand one by one sometimes using a fork.
